About Us:
Uniphore, an early leader in Conversational Service Automation (CSA), is seeking an experienced Corporate Accounting Manager who will be responsible for the management and integrity of various accounting operations and financial reporting functions. Reporting to the Corporate Controller, you will be a key member of the Controllership team and will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of our corporate accounting functions. You will ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance with accounting regulations, and efficient internal controls. This role requires a proactive individual with strong leadership skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead US accounting operation and collaborate with the global accounting and finance teams to execute all accounting processes and activities across the organization to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, domestic and international statutory guidelines, internal policies, and external audits
Manage the timely monthly close process for US subsidiaries (calendars, reviews, reconciliations, analysis, reporting)
Design and implement general ledger, accounts payable, fixed assets, payroll and other accounting operations metrics, reports, and reconciliations
Review or prepare key reconciliations, journal entries, and analytical procedures
Assist with the production and preparation of consolidated and legal entity monthly financial statements
Possess a deep understanding of global ERP systems including sub-modules, including the development, implementation and/or maintenance of one or more accounting systems
Design and implement effective accounting policies, procedures and controls (“SOX-like quality”), continuously monitor and update the design and scope of controls as the business evolves to maintain the integrity of financial reporting
Work cross-functionally with the other departments on new initiatives to understand the financial impact and ensure accounting issues are identified and mitigated
Manage integration of acquired businesses into our financial systems and processes
Promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational innovation and regularly interact with business owners and senior level management on accounting matters
Recommend and assist to develop financial systems solutions and requirements for new or enhancements to existing applications
Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or other related field required
Big 4 public accounting experience is highly preferred
CPA certification preferred but not mandatory
At least 6 years of experience in corporate accounting or related roles, with a focus on accounting operations
Strong in-depth working knowledge of GAAP, month-end close processes, operational accounting procedures, and financial reporting
Advanced NetSuite experience
Solid understanding of management reporting, hierarchy, and cost center structure
Experience in a multi-entity (inter-company and consolidation) environment
Strong Excel and financial system/application skills
Strong analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail a must
Ability to effectively interact, verbally and in writing, with senior management and functional department managers
Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Strong time management and organizational skills
Hiring Range:
$127,600 - $159,500 - for Primary Location of USA - CA - Palo Alto
The specific rate will depend on the successful candidate’s qualifications and prior experience.
