Requirements
  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • A valid New York State driver's license is required.
Responsibilities
  • Assign vehicles and equipment according to the crew scheduler schedule.
  • Support all outgoing and incoming crews during the shift.
  • Distribute equipment to crews and obtain receipt sign-offs.
  • Collect equipment from crews and obtain return sign-offs.
  • Charge rechargeable equipment.
  • Prepare equipment for redistribution.
  • Perform daily equipment inventory.
  • Check and tag out-of-service equipment for testing or repair.
  • Advise the management team about out-of-service equipment.
  • Update equipment status in the daily crew scheduler worksheet.
  • Perform daily supply inventory.
  • Restock supplies according to inventory requirements and maintain par levels.
  • Advise the management team when supplies are needed.
  • Park and secure vehicles appropriately.
  • Fuel vehicles.
  • Perform a New York State Part 800 check on ambulances.
  • Seal equipment cabinets in ambulances.
  • Operate company-provided phones and communication systems.
  • Operate company-provided computer systems and software suites.
  • Inspect vehicles for condition, equipment, and fuel upon return.
  • Check crew appearance upon clock-in.
Desired Qualifications
  • A valid New York State EMT-B certification is preferred.
