Requirements
  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 3 years of customer-facing experience.
  • Understanding of the differences between information technology and operational technology networking environments.
  • Knowledge of the OSI Network Reference Model, Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching, Spanning Tree Protocols including STP, RSTP, and MSTP, TCP/IP, and routing protocols including RIP and OSPF.
  • CCNA certification or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency with customer relationship management software, Microsoft Visio, and Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Ability to travel by airplane for up to 6 hours, by automobile for up to 6 hours at a time, and overnight.
  • Ability to sit for 4 hours at a time, stand for extended periods, and lift at least 50 pounds.

Responsibilities
  • Introduce EtherWAN products and communicate EtherWAN’s value proposition and applications to prospective customers.
  • Project-manage field engagements alongside business development and sales resources.
  • Conduct collaborative field engagements with prospects, partners, and customers.
  • Translate technology needs from the market into actionable input for appropriate organizational stakeholders.
  • Conduct in-person and web-based networking training from beginner to advanced levels.
  • Assist in creating in-person and online training materials through the EtherWAN Academy.
  • Conduct network audits, assist customers with network design, and recommend appropriate EtherWAN products.
  • Simulate client environments by recreating client networks to assess EtherWAN product feasibility.
  • Cross-reference third-party products with EtherWAN products for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor industry trends and customer needs and communicate relevant information to internal stakeholders.
  • Respond to customer calls and emails concerning EtherWAN products and applications.
  • Conduct client and issue follow-ups and customer meetings independently when needed.
  • Attend trade shows and industry events as needed.
  • Support the generation and growth of new and existing revenue within the assigned territory through application, partner, and customer support.
  • Generate mindshare with new and existing customers, channels, and partners in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Use the company customer relationship management system to log technical support cases, market and customer application information, and prospect, partner, and customer engagements.
  • Coordinate across EtherWAN departments to maintain transparency of engagement information.
  • Research and author application, product, technical, and industry papers as assigned.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
