Requirements
  • A minimum of seven years of superintendent or project management experience in commercial construction.
  • Experience leading and managing multiple construction projects.
  • Experience with commercial project types including office construction, tenant improvements, renovations, similar mid-market projects, high-end restaurants, and medical office build-outs.
  • Experience coordinating subcontractors and vendors and handling inspectors.
  • Organizational, communication, and computer skills, including Microsoft Office; experience with Procore or Autodesk.
  • Ability to lift 40–80 pounds by hand or with equipment, using proper equipment or asking a team member for help.
  • Eligible to work in the United States.
  • Must currently live within St. Lucie, Palm Beach, Broward, or Miami-Dade counties.
Responsibilities
  • Manage on-site planning and coordinate subcontractor work activities according to the contract and guidelines; coordinate subcontractors and vendors to ensure adherence to project plans and quality control of installations; coordinate permit inspections and maintain subcontractor relationships.
  • Read, understand, and interpret plans and specifications, and help develop and maintain schedules to deliver a complete project on time; apply construction sequencing knowledge and create a two-week look-ahead schedule.
  • Ensure code and legal compliance and coordinate quality inspections.
  • Manage the shop drawing and material expediting processes and daily cleanup; perform daily jobsite walks, coordinate specialty inspections, and manage equipment start-up and commissioning.
  • Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment.
  • Submit daily and weekly status updates to senior management.
  • Track significant project information, including Tool Box Talks, meeting minutes, document transmittals, drawing logs, submittal/shop drawing logs, requests for information logs, and potential change order logs.
  • Maintain all on-site documentation, including contract documents and daily logs.
  • Assist in preparing change proposals to owners and ensure adequate coverage for direct costs, equipment, and time-related work activities.
  • Oversee the overall safety, schedule, quality, and management of on-site field activities for assigned construction projects.
  • Assist in directing the planning, coordination, and execution of work on time and within budget while maintaining a safe workplace.
  • Ensure services are delivered to the satisfaction of the owner or client.
Desired Qualifications
  • Completion of all safety trainings and requirements, including OSHA 30 training, or ability to complete them.
  • Experience using Microsoft Project.
