Requirements
  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Business Management, Information Technology, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Certification by an appropriate certifying authority as a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt.
  • A minimum of eight years of experience completing Lean Six Sigma improvement projects after certification.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Publisher, and Adobe products.
  • Knowledge of advanced practices from Lean, Six Sigma, Theory of Constraints, and other improvement bodies of knowledge.
  • Ability to conduct detailed research and analysis of technical data.
  • Ability to read and interpret acquisition policy, regulations, and directives.
  • Ability to multitask and maintain close attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
Responsibilities
  • Provide Business and Logistics Management Support Services for the U.S. Coast Guard and associated Coast Guard organizational components.
  • Assist and mentor government Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and Green Belt candidates in completing Lean Six Sigma improvement projects.
  • Certify completion of candidate improvement projects when appropriate.
  • Implement procedures for process development, monitoring, and improvement at multiple locations consistent with Lean Six Sigma best practices.
  • Develop and provide training in Lean Six Sigma and continual process improvement fundamentals or applied facilitation.
  • Provide contractor consulting, project management and support, strategic planning, portfolio management, business process planning, process development, process integration planning, facilities planning, marketing and communications planning, life-cycle cost estimation, cybersecurity service provider program maturation and recertification, acquisition life-cycle support, enterprise life-cycle logistics and engineering support, material management, configuration management, business management, inventory management, logistics supply support, and planned maintenance development support services.
  • Ensure work products are thorough, accurate, appropriately documented, and compliant with established criteria.
  • Perform duties competently and professionally while meeting milestones and delivery schedules.
Desired Qualifications
  • Department of Defense or American Society for Quality certification is preferred.
  • Certified Scrum Master certification may be required at the call-order level.
  • Capability Maturity Model Integration Associate certification may be required at the call-order level.
