Requirements
  • An RN with deep transplant experience, such as transplant or organ-donation coordinator experience, or experience as a clinical perfusionist or organ-preservation specialist.
  • Aptitude to become the authority on a novel perfusion device.
  • Hands-on experience with ex-vivo organ perfusion devices, including EVLP, kidney or liver assist, organ transport, or similar systems.
  • Comfort operating, troubleshooting, and teaching complex clinical hardware.
  • Prior Clinical Specialist, Field Specialist, or Thought-Leader-Liaison experience supporting FDA device studies, coordinating preclinical studies, and educating study sites.
  • Strong trainer and key opinion leader-facing credibility.
  • Willingness to be based in Manchester, New Hampshire.
  • Disciplined documentation and calm judgment during time-critical runs.
Responsibilities
  • Embed with the DEKA team to reach engineering-grade competence and then operate POD routinely without R&D present.
  • Maintain a clear conduit for device configuration changes into the field and field observations back to R&D.
  • Personally perform POD perfusion and assessment runs in preclinical and partner-lab settings to a consistent, documented standard.
  • Own run setup, troubleshooting, integrity, and deviation records.
  • Build and own the operator-qualification and training package.
  • Train and certify external perfusionists, technicians, and clinical staff.
  • Proctor early cases and then provide support as needed.
  • Support lead-in and pivotal clinical-trial site activation and protocol execution.
  • Ensure clean at-source data capture and site-to-site standardization.
  • Support DSMB and clinical-events documentation.
  • Apply the regulatory claim boundary by documenting POD deviations without coaching users on suitability or using comparative or composite language.
Desired Qualifications
  • CCTC certification.
  • GCP or IDE exposure.
