Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Geography, Geoinformatics, or a related field
  • Proven experience in geospatial data analysis, manipulation, and visualization
  • Experience with geospatial databases and SQL
  • Strong programming skills in Python, R, or similar languages for data manipulation and analysis
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced hybrid environment and handle stress appropriately
  • Experience working on cross-functional teams with ability to communicate effectively through written and verbal communications
Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain geospatial data pipelines, ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of large-scale geodata
  • Use statistical techniques and geospatial data visualizations to analyze geospatial data and derive insights that can enhance gameplay and developer experience
  • Collaborate with game designers and engineers to integrate geospatial data into game mechanics, ensuring a seamless and immersive player experience
  • Implement data quality control measures to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and completeness of geospatial data
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in geospatial data technologies and methodologies, and propose solutions that improve our geodata infrastructure
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members and stakeholders, including regular and reliable attendance and participation in meetings
Desired Qualifications
  • Familiarity with geospatial data formats (e.g., GeoJSON, Shapefile, KML) and coordinate systems (e.g., WGS84, UTM)
  • Proficiency in geospatial data processing tools and libraries such as ArcGIS, QGIS, GDAL, or PostGIS
