About the job
- At least 3 years of experience in construction or commercial maintenance.
- Proficiency in carpentry, including partition framing with metal or wood studs, basic cabinetry and countertop installation, and door and window installation.
- Proficiency in interior and exterior painting.
- Proficiency in flooring installation, including VCT, LVT, tile, carpet squares, and cove base.
- Basic plumbing knowledge, including replacement and installation of sinks, faucets, toilets, and basic drainage and water lines.
- Basic electrical knowledge, including replacement and installation of light fixtures, switches, and outlets; basic data connections; and diagnosis of minor electrical problems.
- Knowledge of HVAC refrigeration.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to follow OSHA requirements.
- OSHA 10-hour certification or completion of OSHA 10-hour training within three months of employment.
- Ability to supply basic construction hand tools.
- Ability to work overtime and/or on call as workload and emergency issues require.
- Willingness and ability to travel and work overnight shifts throughout the United States when needed.
- Perform commercial renovations and buildouts.
- Make detailed repair records, including measurements, pictures, repair recommendations, and quotes.
- Communicate with customers to build relationships.
- Licensed plumbers are encouraged to apply.
- Licensed electricians are encouraged to apply.
