Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field, or 2–4 years of relevant field experience in electrical, mechanical, controls, or commissioning.
  • Experience working with applications, standards, procedures, and drawings.
  • Compliance with applicable safety regulations, personal protective equipment requirements, and Environmental Health and Safety policies.
  • Ability to meet the stated physical demands, including frequent visits to outdoor construction sites and potential exposure to weather extremes, noise, dust, chemicals, and other environmental factors.
Responsibilities
  • Document commissioning efforts on assigned data center projects, including planning, scheduling, and execution of all commissioning phases from Level 1 through Level 5.
  • Work within an integrated commissioning program using standard operating procedures, document control workflows, templates, and commissioning protocols tailored to mission-critical projects.
  • Provide technical experience to commissioning teams, including internal staff and third-party agents, ensuring alignment with project goals and customer expectations.
  • Develop Method of Procedure documentation in accordance with First Time Energization sequences, First of Kind inspections, pre-functional and functional test plans, load bank requirements, and integrated systems testing protocols.
  • Act as a team resource for load banking and energization activities, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders from pre-planning through execution and documentation.
  • Provide organized and complete commissioning documentation, including checklists, redlines, test scripts, issue logs, deficiency tracking, and closeout reports, and turn it over in accordance with contractual requirements.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols during all commissioning phases and coordinate with Safety, Quality Assurance/Quality Control, and Field Operations to mitigate commissioning risks.
Desired Qualifications
  • Familiarity with power distribution, standby generation, uninterruptible power supplies, power distribution units, automatic transfer switches, switchgear, and integrated systems used in mission-critical environments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and construction commissioning platforms such as Bluebeam, Procore, CxAlloy, Nexus, AutoLOTO, and Navisworks, or similar tools.
  • Strong communication and client-facing capabilities.

Loenbro acquires Prism Electric in largest-ever deal to expand across Texas and Oklahoma

Loenbro has acquired Prism Electric, a Texas and Oklahoma-based electrical contractor founded in 1994. The transaction marks Loenbro's largest acquisition to date and adds approximately 2,500 employees to its workforce. The acquisition expands Loenbro's electrical service capabilities and strengthens its presence across data centres, healthcare, advanced manufacturing, energy, aviation, and industrial infrastructure markets throughout the Southern United States. Prism specialises in electrical construction services across healthcare, industrial, commercial, and mission-critical projects. Members of Prism's leadership team will assume key operational roles within Loenbro's South Region.
