Class 1 Truck Driver

CAPSTAN Hauling, a diversified, trucking company (acquired by LAPRAIRIE Group of Companies) is recruiting full-time Truck Drivers with lowbed and winch truck operating experience who are local to the Lloydminster, Alberta area.

Responsibilities:

Duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Operate a winch truck to winch load and unload equipment as required.
• 
  Haul customer commodities with various multi-axle trailer configurations, including lowbed trucks.
• 
  Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment and complete daily inspection reports.
• 
  Adhere to Hours of Service and Logbook Regulations.
• 
  Adhere to daily schedules set out by Dispatch & Supervisors.
• 
  Complete daily paperwork / reporting accurately and on time.
• 
  Promote safety culture and adhere to HSE policies.
• 
  Maintain a clean and organized truck.
• 
  Report all equipment repairs and maintenance requests to the Shop lead and Dispatch.

Skills and Requirements:

• 
  Must hold a valid Class 1 Driver’s License.
• 
  3-5 years on/off highway driving experience.
• 
  Must have equipment hauling experience.
• 
  Must have winch and lowbed truck operating experience.
• 
  Must have experience pulling 32-to-48-wheel Trailer configurations.
• 
  Availability to work rotational shifts, including days and nights.
• 
  Ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
• 
  Solid communication skills and ability to work in a team setting and alone as required.
• 
  Ability to navigate work sites and adapt to daily changes in scopes of work.
• 
  Acceptable drivers abstract (5 years minimum).
