Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of Linux system administration, including shell scripting and performance tuning.
  • Understanding of KDB database architecture, query language (q), and data management.
  • Experience with front office trading platforms and their operational requirements.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain data architecture pipelines that enable the transfer and processing of durable, complete, and consistent data.
  • Design and implement data warehouses and data lakes that manage appropriate data volumes and velocity and adhere to required security measures.
  • Develop processing and analysis algorithms suited to intended data complexity and volumes.
  • Collaborate with data scientists to build and deploy machine learning models.
  • Manage and maintain Linux servers, ensuring optimal performance and uptime.
  • Support and maintain KDB databases, including data ingestion, query optimization, and troubleshooting.
  • Implement and maintain monitoring tools to proactively identify and resolve issues.
  • Develop and deploy automation scripts to streamline operations and reduce manual intervention.
  • Respond to and resolve incidents, ensuring minimal impact on trading activities.
  • Work closely with development and trading teams to understand requirements and provide reliable solutions.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for systems and processes.
  • Contribute to or set strategy, drive requirements, and make recommendations for change.
  • Plan resources, budgets, and policies; manage and maintain policies and processes; deliver continuous improvements; and escalate breaches of policies and procedures.
  • Advise key stakeholders, including functional leadership teams and senior management, on functional and cross-functional areas of impact and alignment.
  • Manage and mitigate risks through assessment in support of the control and governance agenda.
  • Demonstrate leadership and accountability for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work performed by the team.
  • Collaborate with other areas of work and aligned support areas to stay current with business activity and strategies.
  • Create solutions based on sophisticated analytical thought by comparing and selecting complex alternatives; perform in-depth analysis to define problems and develop innovative solutions.
  • Incorporate the outcomes of extensive research into problem-solving processes.
  • Build and maintain trusting relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to accomplish key business objectives using influencing and negotiating skills.
Desired Qualifications
  • Familiarity with REST APIs and Python APIs for data integration.
  • Knowledge of AWS or other cloud platforms for data storage and processing.
  • Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.

OneMain Holdings issues $600M senior notes at 7.125% due 2034

OneMain Finance Corporation, a subsidiary of OneMain Holdings, has entered into an underwriting agreement to issue $600 million of 7.125% senior notes due 2034. The transaction is being underwritten by Barclays Capital and BMO Capital Markets. The offering is expected to close on 20 August 2026, subject to customary conditions. Net proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes, including potential debt repurchases or repayment. OneMain Holdings operates in the consumer finance industry, providing personal loans and financial services to non-prime consumers. The underwriters and their affiliates maintain existing investment banking and financing relationships with OneMain, including participation in previous asset-backed note offerings and lending arrangements.

Vitol secures $4.5B revolving credit facility at tight 75bp pricing

Vitol has signed a $4.5 billion revolving credit facility with a nine-month tenor. The deal, finalised on 16 March, priced at 75 basis points all-in with a margin of 40-50 basis points. Standard Chartered served as mandated lead arranger and bookrunner for the transaction. Santander and Barclays were among the participating lenders on the facility.

DailyPay secures $260M debt financing to expand early wage access services

DailyPay, a New York City-based early wage access provider, has secured $260 million in debt financing. The funding comprises a $160 million revolving credit facility from Barclays and Angelo Gordon, plus a $100 million term loan from SVB Capital and Neuberger Berman. The company plans to use the capital to expand its services domestically and internationally whilst pursuing innovation. DailyPay's clients include Hilton, Target, Kroger and Dollar Tree. The financing follows the appointment of Kevin Coop as chief executive officer five months ago. DailyPay previously raised $300 million in a revolving credit facility from Barclays last March and secured $500 million in equity and credit capital in 2021. The company operates in a crowded market with approximately 30 competitors, including Payactiv, EarnIn and Flexwage Solutions.

Hightown Housing secures $95M revolving credit facility with Barclays

Hightown Housing Association has secured a £75m revolving credit facility with Barclays to fund investment in existing homes and deliver more affordable housing. Mark Farrar, chief financial officer at Hightown, said the agreement advances the association's long-term funding strategy and reflects its strong financial position. He added that it will enable continued investment in existing properties whilst delivering new affordable homes. Mark Wecki, relationship director for real estate and social housing at Barclays, said the enhanced funding arrangement strengthens Hightown's liquidity and provides capacity to deliver much-needed affordable housing. He noted Hightown's strong track record of growth and community impact.
