About the company

Kinstead provides an AI-powered platform that helps nurse practitioners launch and run independent private practices in New York. It automates back-office tasks such as brand identity, state licensing, credentialing, payer enrollment, EHR setup, scheduling, billing, and revenue cycle management, enabling clinicians to see patients within 90 days. Unlike others, Kinstead combines the software with a growth playbook—local SEO and referral-network development—to help build patient panels. Its goal is to reduce administrative barriers for NP-led care and empower clinicians to focus on patient-centered services.

What believers are saying

  • Kinstead expanded to Massachusetts, Maryland, and Connecticut by August 2026.
  • It is actively accepting primary care and psychiatry NPs, signaling early product-market pull.
  • Its blog updated September 5, 2026, shows continuous demand generation and educational distribution.

What critics are saying

  • Kinstead serves only three states, leaving revenue exposed to local licensing and reimbursement rules.
  • Competitors like Athena, Tebra, Elation, and Healthie already sell core EHR and scheduling.
  • A change in Connecticut, Maryland, or Massachusetts NP rules can shut down its launch pipeline.

What makes Kinstead unique

  • Kinstead compresses NP practice launches to about 90 days across licensing, credentialing, and billing.
  • It owns the full operational stack: entity formation, EHR, payer enrollment, RCM, local marketing.
  • Its focus on independent NP practices sharpens execution and messaging versus generic practice software.
