Requirements
- Total Experience: 5 to 8 years.
- Guidewire Cloud Experience (Policy Centre, Claims Centre & Billing Centre) is required.
- Selenium with Java expertise.
- Clear communication and standard software testing lifecycle knowledge.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Quality Assurance tester.
- Proficiency in QA Methodology and hands-on testing experience within the Insurance industry.
- Proven experience testing UI, Web services, batch-based integrations, and Web portals.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Team Foundation Server and Test Manager (MTM) is preferred.
- Proficiency in VB Script, XML, SQL, or related programming languages.
- Experience with automation testing tools such as HP QuickTest Professional (QTP) and Selenium.
- Specific Quality Assurance experience with Guidewire solutions in the Property and Casualty Policy lifecycle is essential.
- 5+ years relevant Guidewire X Center Automation testing experience.
- Guidewire Associate Certificate in Cloud is Mandatory or must obtain certification on joining.
- Testing certification (ISTQB – Test Analyst, Automation Test Analyst or similar) will be an advantage.
- Preference will be given to candidates with proven Guidewire automation experience.
- Experience with Agile (Scrum) methodology.
- Experience with developing test cases and test scenarios from story cards/use cases and requirements specifications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Understanding of Quality Control and Quality Assurance concepts across the Software Development Life Cycle and the Testing Development Life Cycle.
- Understanding of test metrics and their use for decision support.
- Understanding development practices and structures, SQL and database query tools.
- Experience with Requirements Management, Test Management and Defect Management Tools.
- Understanding of automated testing principles and procedures is an added advantage.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute test cases and test scenarios from story cards/use cases and requirements specifications.
- Perform Guidewire X Center Automation testing, including testing UI, Web services, batch-based integrations, and Web portals.
- Participate in Agile (Scrum) processes and contribute to test planning, execution, and quality assessment of test cases.
- Prepare and maintain test plans, test cases, and defect reports; monitor quality metrics and provide feedback to development teams.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and stakeholders to validate requirements and ensure quality deliveries.
- Utilize tools such as Guidewire Studio, Jira, Bamboo, IntelliJ – Java, Appium, Postman, Bitbucket, Allure, XCUITEST, Maven, TestNG, Selenium, SQL and related database query tools; manage test cases, defects, and test execution.
- Provide, where applicable, test management and defect management artifacts and participate in continuous improvement of testing processes.
Desired Qualifications
- ISTQB – Test Analyst, Automation Test Analyst or similar testing certification (advantage).
- GW Associate Certificate in Cloud (mandatory or must be obtained on joining)
- Proven Guidewire automation experience is preferred.
- Extensive experience developing test cases and test scenarios from story cards/use cases and requirements specifications.
- Experience with Requirements Management, Test Management and Defect Management Tools.
- Understanding of automated testing principles and procedures is an added advantage.
