Evening shifts include 4 p.m.–midnight or midnight–8 a.m., with every other weekend and holiday coverage.
About the job
- One year of computed tomography experience is required.
- Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in radiology is required.
- Current cardiopulmonary resuscitation and basic life support certification is required.
- New York State Department of Health IV certification under Title 89 is required.
- A New York State Department of Health radiologic technologist license and American Registry of Radiologic Technologists license are required.
- A high school diploma or General Educational Development credential is required.
- Perform computed tomography and X-ray imaging procedures on appropriate anatomical regions according to accepted standards of practice and Radiology Department protocols.
- Administer contrast agents according to site-specific protocols under the guidance and approval of the site radiologist.
- Cooperate with facility healthcare personnel and comply with facility policies and procedures.
- Perform equipment quality checks and troubleshoot problems.
- Call for service and notify all pertinent team members.
- Follow quality assurance guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Comply with all safety policies and regulations.
- Perform additional duties as required.
- Registry in computed tomography is preferred.
