Requirements
  • At least 1–2 years of experience in a Medical Office Assistant position.
  • Ability to handle confidential information in compliance with regulated guidelines.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
Responsibilities
  • Process and send referrals to internal and external specialists, diagnostic testing sites, and hospitals.
  • Attach appropriate clinical information to referrals before sending.
  • Notify patients of appointments and special instructions by telephone, mail, or email.
  • Track outstanding referrals and follow up on pending referrals within recommended timeframes.
  • Process third-party requests for patients and physicians.
  • Handle questions and concerns in accordance with customer service standards.
  • Process panel management requests and notify patients of appointments.
  • Communicate with clinic staff, physicians, and patients.
  • Monitor and respond to inbound and outbound calls.
  • Manage records and documentation.
  • Meet daily targets provided by the Centralized Programs Manager.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with electronic medical record software is preferred.
  • Other language skills are an asset.
