XION builds a user-first blockchain platform that hides crypto complexity from end users by using chain abstraction. This makes it easier for developers to create frictionless Web3 apps and onboard people who don’t know much about crypto. The product combines a programmable blockchain with cross-chain interoperability so assets and data can move smoothly across major networks. Real-world uses include decentralized social networks, global commerce, and blockchain games, all backed by governance from the ecosystem. XION differentiates itself by focusing on eliminating user-barriers to entry, enabling seamless cross-chain transfers, and offering customizable, governance-driven tooling for developers. The goal is to mainstream Web3 adoption by providing a practical, easy-to-use blockchain that developers can build on and users can interact with without needing crypto expertise.

EarnOS raises $18.5M as XION rebrands to Verona, launching AI verification layer

XION has rebranded to Verona and announced an $18.5 million fundraise for its flagship app EarnOS. The company is transitioning from a web3 infrastructure provider to a verification and intelligence layer for AI agents. Verona's platform allows AI agents to access verified data without repeated verification or data exposure. Users verify information once and can authorise AI agents to reuse it whilst maintaining privacy. The technology aims to enable AI agents to handle sensitive tasks like prescription refills or mortgage applications. The company's technology currently powers experiences across over 115 global brands including Uber, Amazon, Nike and BMW, with 69 million verified interactions across three million users. Verona has raised $36 million to date from investors including Animoca Brands, Multicoin Capital and HashKey Capital.
