Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in motion design, producing high-end creative work for the tech/entertainment industry, production companies, or advertising agencies
  • Strong portfolio showcasing your motion design work
  • Proficiency in motion design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere Pro, Adobe Animate, Photoshop, Illustrator), Cinema 4D/Blender (plus), and Figma
  • A refined grasp of design fundamentals: typography, color, and layout
  • Understanding emerging motion and prototyping tools like Jitter and Capsule, which help with faster workflows
  • Ability to meticulously deliver pixel-perfect work to production
  • Systems-level thinking and ability to execute high-quality work consistently
  • Be a strong communicator, collaborator, and advocate for the brand and its impact
  • Experience in working collaboratively with copywriters, marketers, and producers
Responsibilities
  • Lead the creative development of Ramp's motion design, including setting motion styles & behaviors, storyboarding, and building motion toolkits
  • Create high-quality 2D motion graphics and animations for marketing materials living on the website, social, events, and any other brand surfaces
  • Help establish systems to streamline day-to-day animation needs and maintain brand consistency
  • Work with emerging motion software to help scale motion outside of After Effects
  • Work closely with Creative Directors, Brand Designers, Project Managers, and Producers to see a project from start to finish
  • Develop motion tests and prototypes to demonstrate animation concepts and gather stakeholder feedback
  • Occasionally work with external agencies and freelancers to ensure brand consistency in motion design
  • Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers to conceptualize and implement animation solutions that enhance user interactions and improve usability
  • Work with developers to ensure animations are implemented correctly and performed optimally across different devices and browsers
