About the company

ADI designs, manufactures, and sells high-performance analog, mixed-signal, and DSP integrated circuits that sense, measure, interpret, connect, and power the physical world in electronic devices. Its products include data converters, amplifiers, and power-management ICs that OEMs embed to handle analog sensing and digital processing inside their products. ADI differentiates itself through a broad, industry-spanning portfolio and close collaboration with customers to solve complex engineering challenges, rather than focusing on a single product type. Its goal is to provide reliable signal-processing solutions that bridge the physical world and digital systems, helping customers create more capable electronic products.

Analog Devices, a $192.4B chipmaker, is a key digital power IC rival with $2B data centre revenue

Analog Devices (NasdaqGS:ADI) has been named a key competitor in the growing global digital power chip market. Demand from data centres, 5G infrastructure, and electric vehicles is driving adoption of the technology, which helps manage power efficiency in large-scale computing and electrified transport. The US semiconductor company, valued at $192.4 billion, designs and sells integrated circuits, software, and subsystems across the Americas, Europe, Japan, China, and wider Asia. Management has reported $2 billion in annualised data centre revenue. Automotive makes up about 25% of its revenue mix. Investors will look for more design wins to turn into booked orders and reported power management revenue. Quarterly disclosures on digital power content per system would show whether the attention is becoming lasting, high-margin income.

Analog Devices urges shareholders to reject Tutanota's $525 per share mini-tender offer

Analog Devices (ADI) has urged shareholders to reject an unsolicited "mini-tender" offer from Tutanota LLC to buy up to 100,000 ADI shares at $525.00 each in cash. The shares represent less than 0.03% of ADI's outstanding common stock. The offer is conditional on ADI's closing share price exceeding $525.00 on the last trading day before expiry. Unless Tutanota waives that, tendering shareholders would be paid less than the market price. The offer also depends on Tutanota obtaining financing, which it says it does not currently have. The offer expires at 17:00 New York City time on November 16, 2026, but Tutanota expects to extend it for successive periods of 45 to 180 days. Shareholders can withdraw tendered shares before expiry. Mini-tender offers, which seek no more than 5% of a company's shares, avoid many US Securities and Exchange Commission disclosure rules.

Analog chip makers Texas Instruments, Analog Devices, and ON Semiconductor capitalise on AI data centre boom

Texas Instruments, Analog Devices, and ON Semiconductor are capitalising on growing demand for analog chips in AI infrastructure. These chips manage power flows and convert real-world inputs into digital data, making them essential for data center operations. Texas Instruments reported 23% year-over-year revenue growth in Q2, with its analog segment up 29%. The company cited continued growth in industrial, data center, and automotive segments. Analog Devices saw 40% year-over-year revenue growth in fiscal 2026 Q3, with net income more than doubling. The company maintains a 39% free cash flow margin and has returned over $24 billion to shareholders in the past decade. ON Semiconductor expects AI data center revenue to more than double in 2026. The company is acquiring Synaptics to strengthen its position in physical AI, expanding its addressable market to $243 billion by 2030.
