About the Job

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of experience in security engineering, cloud security, or compliance-focused security roles.
  • Hands-on, operational experience implementing DORA in a production or regulated environment, such as ICT risk management, incident classification and reporting, third-party or ICT vendor oversight, and digital operational resilience testing.
  • Ability to translate regulatory requirements into technical controls.
  • Strong working knowledge of AWS security fundamentals, including identity and access management, logging, encryption, and networking.
  • Ability to own auditor interactions and explain systems clearly.
  • Experience building or automating security and compliance processes using tools or languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.
  • Accountability for an audit outcome; prior ownership of an audit is required.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain technical and operational controls for DORA, GDPR, SOC 2, ISO 27001, and future regional requirements.
  • Ensure controls are enforced in AWS, Kubernetes, and application layers, not merely documented.
  • Translate regulatory language into concrete security mechanisms.
  • Partner with Legal and Compliance to monitor new regulations and assess their technical impact.
  • Determine appropriate compliance solutions without over-engineering.
  • Own audit preparation, evidence collection, audit walkthroughs, and remediation tracking.
  • Build repeatable, automated evidence pipelines.
  • Work with engineering to design systems that are secure by default and defensible to regulators.
  • Ensure logging, access controls, encryption, monitoring, and change management meet regulatory expectations.
  • Build tooling and scripts to continuously validate controls, including access reviews, logging coverage, and configuration drift.
  • Reduce manual compliance work by embedding checks in code and infrastructure.

Desired Qualifications

  • GDPR implementation experience.
  • Experience supporting SOC 2 and/or ISO 27001 audits.
  • Experience securing Kubernetes environments.
  • Familiarity with application security testing tools and methods, including static and dynamic application security testing and manual testing.
  • Experience with AWS security services such as GuardDuty, Config, and Security Hub.
  • Prior work in fintech, payments, or regulated infrastructure.
  • Security or compliance certifications such as CISSP, CISA, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer, or AWS Security.
  • Familiarity with EU financial regulators and national competent authorities, such as DNB/AFM in the Netherlands and EBA/ESMA.
