Requirements
  • The candidate must hold a valid registered nurse license.

Responsibilities
  • Provide patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating treatments and procedures for patients.
  • Serve as lead nurse and supervise, coach, train, and educate registered nurses and other nursing staff members.
  • Ensure patient safety.
  • Assist leadership with scheduling and ensuring that appropriate numbers of staff with the appropriate skill mix are scheduled for each shift.
  • Consult and participate with leadership in staff evaluations.
  • Educate patients and family members about the nature and status of the patient's condition, diet, medication and treatment side effects, and the importance of complying with medication schedules when applicable.
  • Consult and report patient issues and concerns to medical and other health care staff.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, including charts, schedules, procedures, and medication or treatment history.
Desired Qualifications
  • Two years of registered nurse experience in the specified area is preferred.
  • A Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred.
