About the job
- Must be a Licensed Industrial Millwright.
- Minimum five years of Industrial Millwright experience is required.
- Extensive knowledge of industrial machinery and equipment, including mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Proficiency in the use of hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Plan and assist in implementing rigorous preventative and predictive maintenance programs to minimize plant downtime.
- Troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic systems across plant equipment.
- Work alongside, give direction to, and assist outside contractors hired to support the organization.
- Program and troubleshoot the in-plant Programmable Logic Controller system.
- Dismantle, clean, and reassemble equipment as needed.
- Fabricate parts required during overhauls, maintenance, or setup.
- Identify and correct problems in machines, equipment, or processes to facilitate production.
- Coordinate and report equipment defects and failures to the Facilities and Maintenance Manager.
- Participate in workplace safety and ensure compliance with applicable Health and Safety standards, legislation, company policy, and best practices.
- Good mathematical skills.
- Manual dexterity and the ability to use common tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Preference is given to candidates with a background in a manufacturing environment.
