  • A high school diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor the kiosk concierge throughout the day to ensure patients successfully check in.
  • Greet patients, encourage tablet use, provide wayfinding, and assist patients with visual or mobility impairments.
  • Guide patients through the tablet check-in process and complete check-ins at the support workstation when necessary.
  • Ask patients about appointments or walk-in services and determine whether they can use the tablet arrival process.
  • Assist with questionnaires, scheduling and electronic check-in guidance, patient flow, pagers, and linking orders.
  • Direct patients to the appropriate waiting area.
  • Register patients, gather and verify demographic and insurance information, schedule appointments, provide financial information and price estimates, and collect and enter payments.
  • Apply billing and coding requirements, resolve financial issues, and negotiate payment arrangements.
  • Cross-train at all sites with tablet implementation and provide support as needed.
  • Orient, train, and educate staff on Welcome Tablets and workflows.
  • Provide organizational guidance as a subject matter expert on Welcome Tablet features.
  • Facilitate resolution of problematic situations and inform leadership of actions taken.
  • Bring up the welcome concierge application at the beginning of each shift for troubleshooting.
  • Keep the support workstation available and remain near the tablets to assist patients.
  • Inform patients about other Welcome tablet locations for future visits.
  • Ensure signage is clear and appropriate.
  • Clean tablets according to the specified schedule, thoroughly cleaning touched surfaces and allowing surfaces to dry before use.
  • Submit IT tickets when tablets are down, require improvement, or experience equipment failure.
  • Train new sites on standard work for tablet implementation.
  • Work with leadership to develop enhanced training tools and improve patient flow.
