Assist engineering staff with substation or line design drawings using design tools, engineering software, and utility standards.
Help prepare construction drawings, bills of material, and project documentation.
Coordinate with drafters to provide markups and updates to design packages.
Participate in field visits for site assessment, measurements, and construction support.
Perform basic engineering calculations and checks in accordance with NESC, RUS, and client-specific standards, with guidance from senior engineers.
Support the project team in meeting schedule, quality, and documentation requirements while developing professional engineering skills.

THE OPPORTUNITY
The Engineering Intern / Co-op role is a developmental position designed for students pursuing an engineering degree who are interested in utility focused engineering and design. This role focuses on hands-on learning of utility design tools, standards, and processes while supporting project teams with supervised technical and field-based tasks. Interns/co-ops gain exposure to real-world utility engineering work while building foundational technical and professional skills.
