Responsibilities
  • Coordinate Special Requests: Communicate with guests and reservations to handle special orders, special requests, and pass the information to the management team.
  • Stay Informed: Keep track of daily activities, events, and group bookings. Know the house count, table arrangements, room capacity, hours of operation, menu pricing, and dress code.
  • Greet Guests: Welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant and make them feel comfortable.
  • Manage Reservations: Answer phone calls, manage reservations, and keep an accurate count in the reservation book.
  • Update Menus: Ensure menus are up-to-date with the latest information and replace any worn or outdated ones.
  • Communication: Relay guest needs to the kitchen and management, share feedback from guests, and assist management to ensure smooth operations.
  • Guest Care: Regularly check in with guests waiting for their tables, making sure they know their table is being prepared.
  • Maintain Cleanliness: Keep your workspace tidy, organized, and sanitary. At the end of your shift, close down the host station and forward calls to the voicemail system.
