Requirements
  • A minimum Bachelor degree and 5-7 years experience working as a taxonomy manager or equivalent combination of education, experience or training.
  • Deep experience with taxonomy & ontology operations and the delivery of semantic data to the enterprise.
  • Experience working with cross functional teams in complex data environments to deliver business value.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle competing priorities and prioritize unplanned and planned work.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and lead a team of taxonomists/ontologists.
  • Train and guide team members, stakeholders, and partners on taxonomy & ontology best practices and standards.
  • Oversee the day to day operations of enterprise taxonomy at Nike including taxonomy creation, maintenance and syndication.
  • Lead ongoing operational efficiencies to mature taxonomy operations and scale the delivery of taxonomy to the enterprise.
  • Establish taxonomy metrics program to support the continuous monitoring of existing semantic models to ensure maximum value to the business.
