Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Two to five years of professional experience in a comparable role.
- Familiarity with Python, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, pattern generators, and logic analyzers.
- Interest in product testing, automated test equipment, or hardware test development.
- Proficiency using oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and soldering tools for debugging.
- Strong analytical ability, communication, and teamwork.
- Ability to adapt to dynamic team environments with frequently changing requirements.
- Willingness to learn and collaborate with a team on a day-to-day basis.
- Availability to work late evenings and weekends as needed during new silicon arrivals.
- Willingness to learn hardware design, component placement, board layout, printed circuit board simulation, through-hole vias, and electrical verification of layout files using Altium.
- Familiarity with Fourier analysis and the sampling theorem as they relate to digital-to-analog converters.
- Ability to analyze automated test equipment or bench results in standard test data format or comma-separated value format.
Responsibilities
- Own test hardware, equipment, and programs supporting high-performance analog and mixed-signal integrated circuit production.
- Maintain test systems, troubleshoot complex issues, and drive continuous improvement across production operations.
- Take responsibility for product data sheets, bench test plans, bench validation, and characterization scripts for 10-bit, 16-bit, and 20-bit digital-to-analog converters.
- Use MATLAB for digital-to-analog converter analysis.
- Debug printed circuit boards to identify and resolve component failures.
- Develop and update documentation for test results, data analysis, and hardware enhancements.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of daily activities so it is accessible to a broad audience.
- Collaborate with hardware and firmware teams to implement improvements in evaluation module hardware and firmware.
- Support initiatives related to correlation, gauge repeatability and reproducibility, and test-time reduction.
- Drive continuous improvements in test efficiency.
- Collaborate with the Applications team on customer-facing activities and product deployment as required.
- Apply Gaussian distribution plots and analytical tools such as analysis of variance or regression analysis.
- Use LTspice and TINA for electrical circuit simulation.
- Perform ultra-low-current measurements, including leakage currents in the nanoampere range.
- Provide support across Product Engineering and Applications Engineering and work occasional extended hours to meet project deadlines.
