Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or equivalent work experience.
  • Three to five years of sales, marketing, or customer service experience in the financial industry.
  • Strong knowledge of investment and/or insurance products.
  • Demonstrated sales and marketing knowledge of annuities and variable products, including their appropriate applications within a needs-based sales process.
  • FINRA Securities Industry Essentials Examination, Series 6 or 7, and Series 63 licenses are required. Life and Variable licenses are also required.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present technical product knowledge professionally by phone and face to face.
  • Sound judgment and solid decision-making when allocating company resources for business development.
  • Ability to grow a sales territory and work independently under pressure.
  • Ability and desire to spend a significant portion of the job developing relationships virtually and over the phone.
  • Strong interpersonal, territory management, independence, and organizational skills, along with the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Working knowledge of office automation tools.
  • Ability to travel up to 30%.
Responsibilities
  • Execute account and territory strategies for assigned broker dealers distributing TruStage Annuities, including business acquisition, optimization, and retention.
  • Provide strategic support to wholesalers to enhance face-to-face product distribution through affiliated representatives and external broker dealers.
  • Develop and implement business-development plans with investment advisors and help manage relationships with key managers at external broker dealers.
  • Use a consultative selling approach to support retail sales and increase sales and market share within an assigned geographic region.
  • Manage day-to-day activities for designated wholesalers, including setting appointments, developing sales plans, providing marketplace feedback, and helping build market strategies.
  • Allocate financial resources from the assigned territory's business-development budget and drive sales growth, market share, and sales and asset targets for TruStage Annuity products.
  • Develop and expand advisor relationships, educate advisors, and execute product sales programs and strategies through virtual and face-to-face channels.
  • Maintain and enhance business relationships with investment advisors offering TruStage Annuity products and provide sales support for an assigned distribution channel or territory.
  • Advise advisors on the availability and appropriate use of TruStage Annuity products, literature, and sales tools.
  • Educate advisors on new product releases and enhancements, communicate relevant economic and industry data, and help develop and administer recognition programs.
  • Document field contact using contact management tools and use contact data to improve field support and decision-making.
  • Answer product questions, follow up on information and proposal requests, support product education, and respond to field problems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve product and process issues for advisors and refer them to appropriate corporate resources when necessary.
  • Provide marketing support through participation in field schools, training meetings, sales conventions, product sessions, marketing presentations, product booths, and demonstrations of sales tools and concepts.
  • Build relationships with field management, home-office service, marketing, investment advisory staff, and employees across business areas to ensure effective communication.
  • Provide proactive sales and marketing support to Regional Vice Presidents, wholesalers, and product marketers.
  • Partner in developing and executing marketing plans, allocating business-development funding, providing sales strategies, implementing sales-call procedures, educating representatives on products, and developing recognition campaigns.
  • Analyze internal business information, industry and economic data, and competitive information to provide effective marketing support.
  • Support projects involving new products or product enhancements, revisions to related training materials, promotional efforts, and introduction campaigns.
  • Maintain knowledge of TruStage Annuity products, economic and industry information, competitors, broker/dealer operations, investment-advisor back-office processes, service areas, and associated vendor relationships.
Desired Qualifications
  • Industry designations such as Certified Public Accountant, Chartered Financial Analyst, Chartered Financial Consultant, or Chartered Life Underwriter.
  • Experience with contact management tools.

Tangenesis launches TruStage payment protection integration for Temenos with real-time quotes

Tangenesis has launched Version 3.0 of its TruStage Payment Protection Integration for Temenos Virtual Capture, enabling real-time insurance quoting and instant purchasing within the Temenos platform. The integration is designed for credit unions using Temenos and its Virtual Capture solution. The new version allows credit union members to receive real-time quotes for TruStage lending insurance products and complete purchases instantly through a digital interface. The system uses API-driven connectivity to automate workflows and reduce operational overhead. According to TruStage research, 80% of borrowing consumers would likely opt for payment protection products, but fewer than half recall being offered them. The integration embeds these options directly into the loan process. Version 3.0 is immediately available to Temenos clients using Tangenesis Virtual Capture.

TruStage generates $6.1B revenue, becomes fourth largest US life insurer by policy count

TruStage reported strong 2025 financial performance with over $6.1 billion in revenue, $312 million in net income and $36.1 billion in assets under management. The insurance and financial services provider maintained strong ratings from AM Best (A), S&P (A+) and Moody's (A2). The company paid over $2.6 billion in total benefits across 42 million consumers and became the fourth largest life insurance provider in the US by policy count. TruStage Ventures expanded to 67 portfolio companies with over $400 million in total investment. The TruStage Foundation invested $3.9 million in communities through more than 100 non-profits, whilst employees registered 8,600 volunteer hours and raised $640,000 for charitable organisations. The company has been named to Forbes' Best Insurance Companies list for four consecutive years.

TruStage Compliance Solutions has launched Compliance Hub Alerts, a regulatory tracking tool that monitors over 18,000 legal citations across state and federal levels, agency rules, case law and regulatory guidance. The web-based application automatically notifies compliance officers of regulatory changes affecting their operations. The platform uses customisable filters to deliver tailored alerts and allows users to assign specific changes to team members. A centralised dashboard provides visibility into tracked legislation and generates audit reports.
