About the job
- Experience confidently interacting with customers; experience interacting with families and students from elementary through high school is preferred.
- Strong organizational and computer skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including knowledge of correct grammar, spelling, and English usage.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive, effective working relationships with students, parents, staff, and the general public.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Ability to maintain flexibility to solve problems under pressure.
- Administrative and/or customer service experience.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace applications, including Docs, Sheets, and Calendar.
- Ability and motivation to learn new technologies.
- Ability to maintain customer confidentiality.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Serve as campus receptionist by answering phone calls, responding to voicemails, and passing relevant information to the appropriate staff member.
- Welcome current and prospective students and their families.
- Manage and respond to customer inquiries by phone and email.
- Maintain multiple calendars, schedule meetings, and keep calendars up to date.
- Use the internal database to generate reports and lists and perform data entry tasks.
- Provide admissions assistance as needed with consultation requests, scheduling, and post-consultation follow-ups.
- Organize and prepare classroom and office supplies.
- Take inventory to support campus operations.
- Supervise students between classes.
- Perform light cleaning duties and tidy the facility.
- Maintain the organization, operation, and appearance of the lobby and front desk area.
- Assist full-time staff with campus procedures to ensure operations run smoothly.
- Participate in occasional outreach and inreach opportunities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
