Requirements
  • Hands-on experience with basic home, trade, or mechanical repair, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, or similar work.
  • Comfort using hand and power tools and troubleshooting problems.
  • Strong customer service skills and comfort interacting with guests in person, including in occupied rooms and shared spaces.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Willingness to work weekends and holidays during peak operational periods.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to self-manage tasks.
  • Comfort learning and using a digital work order system.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Ability to work on one's feet for extended periods and perform bending, kneeling, overhead reaching, and ladder work.
  • Willingness to work indoors and outdoors across all seasons, including cold and snowy conditions.
Responsibilities
  • Execute maintenance projects in hotel rooms, condominiums, public areas, and team-member-only spaces.
  • Perform basic plumbing repairs, including fixing leaks, unclogging drains, and replacing fixtures.
  • Perform basic electrical tasks, including replacing outlets, switches, and light fixtures, under supervision as needed.
  • Assist with heating, ventilation, and air conditioning upkeep, including filter changes, basic troubleshooting, and reporting system issues to senior technicians.
  • Complete carpentry and general building repairs, including drywall patching, door and hardware adjustments, and furniture repair.
  • Respond to work orders submitted through the maintenance tracking system and document completed work.
  • Conduct routine preventive maintenance rounds to identify issues before they become guest-facing problems.
  • Assist with large-scale off-season maintenance projects, including room turns and property-wide upgrades.
  • Safely handle, store, and dispose of chemicals and hazardous materials in accordance with safety protocols.
  • Interact directly and professionally with guests when entering occupied rooms or public spaces.
  • Communicate with guests and team members about repair or work-order status, set expectations, and follow up as needed.
  • Handle guest concerns or maintenance complaints calmly and escalate them to a supervisor when appropriate.
  • Collaborate with maintenance staff across trades and shifts.
  • Develop cross-departmental relationships to support timely issue resolution.
  • Support on-call or after-hours coverage on a rotating basis as needed during peak season.
  • Pursue continued education, training, and relevant certifications as the resort supports trade-specific growth.
