Requirements
  • A high school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to stand and talk or hear regularly; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms frequently; climb or balance occasionally; frequently lift or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • Ability to become familiar with the resort's lifts, trails, policies, safety policies, and guest service expectations.
Responsibilities
  • Assist guests in getting on and off chair lifts.
  • Shovel and rake snow and ice regularly to maintain proper ramps, corrals, and work areas.
  • Assist with pre-operation lift inspections, including emptying trash containers, checking marker information boards and tissue dispensers, checking switches, chairs, and grips, and maintaining ramps and corrals.
  • Advise and assist guests as needed in a courteous manner.
  • Communicate problems to superiors and use initiative when handling routine matters and emergencies.
  • Monitor equipment and guest needs and respond safely while maintaining quality service.
  • Participate in job sharing, maintain resort cleanliness, help ensure guest and employee safety, participate in safety meetings, and accept diverse assignments.
  • Meet service-level objectives and department goals set by the immediate supervisor.
