Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering is required, along with experience in software design and development.
  • One of the following skill combinations is required: Play Framework with the Java Package and Akka skills, or Play Framework with the Java Package and React.js experience.
  • Experience developing and designing high-performance, scalable, cloud-native, headless web applications is required.
  • Experience with Play Framework, Java, or React.js is required.
  • Experience with source code control systems such as Git and related practices is required.
  • Familiarity with Agile methods and continuous integration is required, including backlog management and defect tracking with Jira, collaboration with Confluence or Jive, test automation with JUnit, NUnit, or TestNG, continuous integration and deployment with Jenkins or Hudson, and code review with Sonar or FindBugs.
  • Experience with cloud computing and cloud-hosted applications such as Amazon Web Services, Amazon EC2, and Amazon S3 is required.
  • The candidate must be able to work independently and pursue new technical areas.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and design high-performance, scalable, cloud-native, headless web applications.
  • Apply web frameworks such as Play Framework with Java and Angular.
  • Apply concurrency frameworks such as Akka and the Java Concurrency package.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with clustered caching systems such as Redis, Memcache, or Coherence.
  • Experience with Endeca or other search systems.
  • Experience with NoSQL databases such as Cassandra or Mongo.
