  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Thorough understanding of applicable federal, state, local, and company safety policies and procedures.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • At least seven years of related experience in a warehouse setting.
  • Prior supervisory experience is required, ideally two to five years.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily workflow of the warehouse and schedule and organize staff to ensure proper staffing of all shifts.
  • Ensure safety is prioritized and safety policies and procedures are followed.
  • Recruit, hire, and train new warehouse employees.
  • Handle employee discipline and termination as needed and in accordance with company policy.
  • Ensure efficient warehouse operations through collaboration and coordination with other departments.
  • Complete all required management reports.
  • Execute maintenance activities when needed.
  • Research, identify, and present new ideas to improve warehouse operations.
  • Attend and participate in regularly scheduled and impromptu meetings.
  • Resolve discrepancies involving shipping, invoices, packing slips, and receiver reports.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, local, and company safety policies.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Lift up to 40 pounds when required infrequently.
  • Work around moving mechanical parts and in warehouse conditions that may include heat and humidity.
  • Move objects and use abdominal and lower-back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue; maintain constant movement and use of limbs, manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina.
Desired Qualifications
  • Electrical supply distribution experience is preferred.
  • Experience with the Epicor Eclipse enterprise resource planning system is a plus.
  • An associate degree is preferred.
