Town Raises $18M To Make Taxes Painless For Small Businesses

Small businesses are the backbone of the economy. They create jobs, drive innovation, and keep wealth in local communities. But let’s be honest—the system is not in their favor. For the first time ever, most Americans work for massive corporations with 500+ employees. As industries consolidate, small businesses get squeezed from every angle.Big corporations deploy entire tax departments to minimize what they owe, exploiting every loophole in the book. Meanwhile, small businesses either go at it alone or rely on an overwhelmed accountant, paying 30% more per employee in compliance costs while missing out on billions in tax advantages.Meanwhile, small businesses face declining service quality, largely due to a growing shortage of qualified professionals. At best, the relationship is impersonal and transactional; at worst, it can range from careless tax preparation that overlooks obvious savings to preparers completely disappearing weeks before taxes are due. It’s frustrating, it’s unfair, and it’s exactly why they built Town.Introducing Town: your small business tax departmentTown was created because small businesses deserve the same tax advantages as the big guys.Town provides your business its very own, top-tier tax department, complete with:Dedicated advisors that act like colleagues, not vendorsTax-tuned AI automation that eliminates mind-numbing (and expensive) busywork — from data collection to finding the most relevant deductions for every kind of businessFlat-fee pricing that bucks the industry norm of inflated hourly billingNo more last-minute scrambling
