Extensive experience with Java and Java Enterprise Edition (JEE), Spring, Hibernate, JavaScript, shell scripting, and Java Message Service (JMS).
Experience with web services, including Representational State Transfer (RESTful) and Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP), multithreading, and messaging protocols such as MQ and Transmission Control Protocol (TCP).
Strong experience with extract, transform, and load (ETL) and data movement or integration.
Strong hands-on skills in DB2, Structured Query Language (SQL), DB2 physical database design, DataStage, Unix, and changed data capture (CDC) tools and approaches.
Previous experience with Hadoop and big data.
Demonstrated knowledge of Agile and Waterfall software development life cycle (SDLC) delivery processes.
Technical expertise in data models and database design development.

Responsibilities
Design data movement into and throughout an enterprise, including the operational data store, atomic data warehouse, dimensional data warehouse, and master data management.
Develop the enterprise design view and apply it at the project level.
Mentor designers on detailed design and mentor junior designers as an internal consultant.
Develop and maintain standards, procedures, guidelines, and best practices.
Review project-level data movement designs for adherence to standards and best practices.
Suggest changes to project-level designs.
Develop new data movement design patterns where required.
Guide the coding and testing of standard reusable data movement components.
