- Computer skills are required; and ability to work with herd management software is a plus
- Accurately follow on-farm procedures as designated by each individual technician
- Provide for the safe, efficient and successful processing of Maternity animals of customer herds
- Cooperate with farm management and other farm advisors (Vet, Nutritionist, etc.) to integrate Alta Genetics service offering into a total farm management plan
- Help locate, train and develop competent relief help
- Provide accurate and timely reports when specifically requested
- Provide timely response to requests for information
- Cooperate with farm management and other farm advisors (Vet, Nutritionist, etc.) to integrate Alta Genetics service.
- Develop improved practices in animal feeding, housing, sanitation, or parasite and disease control
- Ensure protocols are followed for nutrition, reproduction, growth, and development of cattle to improve herd health
