- At least 5 years of progressive experience in Oracle database administration and development.
- Experience with technical design and development of database modules and components.
- Experience with coding, code review, and testing.
- Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL coding and tuning.
- Experience supporting Oracle production and non-production databases, including daily operations, backup and recovery, performance tuning, and after-hours on-call support.
- Experience with database schema design, including logical and physical schema design for large-scale, highly available, and mission-critical application systems.
- Experience designing and supporting database components of software applications and understanding the full application development life cycle.
- Strong knowledge and experience with computer hardware, including servers, networks, and storage area networks.
- Current active TS/SCI CI Poly clearance, or ability to obtain a clearable status.
- Support, monitor, tune the performance of, and ensure compliance for Oracle systems.
- Configure, administer, maintain, and document mission-critical 24x7 production and non-production environments.
- Support audit remediation projects to upgrade and encrypt production and non-production databases and scrub or mask production data used in non-production environments.
- Assist development teams with planning and implementations, including reviewing and approving database schema changes, routines, and query optimizations.
- Develop standard operating procedures and best practices.
- Provide advice and recommendations on database architecture, design, and implementation.
- Provide training and documentation for knowledge transfer to other database team members.
- Communicate with non-technical users and technical personnel on database and applications teams.
- Proficiency with UNIX, Linux, shell scripting, and cron jobs.
- Python scripting experience.
