Requirements
At least 5 years of hands-on experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, with proven expertise in diesel engines, hydraulic and hydrostatic systems, fuel systems, and electrical diagnostics and repair.
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
Proficiency with computers and the ability to interpret schematics and technical manuals.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong commitment to safety and adherence to industry regulations.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Possession of standard tools for equipment repairs.
Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, wind, and rain, and in environments with potential dust, dirt, and noise.
Ability to work overtime as business needs arise.
Attention to detail, organizational proficiency, and ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in company-supported equipment, including track loaders, excavators, wheel loaders, chippers, stump grinders, hydroseeders, and commercial mowers.
Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, filter replacements, and inspections.
Conduct thorough equipment inspections to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.
Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
Accurately document maintenance and repair activities and maintain detailed records.
Consistently meet allocated flat-rate or estimated hours for each repair task.
Follow safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment.
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Certificates from prior technical training, especially in diesel engines, hydraulic and hydrostatic systems, fuel systems, and electrical components.
Woods Machinery is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our dynamic team. As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will play a vital role in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of the machinery brands we represent and support. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, extensive knowledge of heavy equipment diesel, hydraulic and electrical systems, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in all equipment supported by the company including but not limited to: Track Loaders, Excavators, Wheel Loaders, Chippers, Stump Grinders, Hydroseeders and Commercial Mowers.
Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, filter replacements, and inspections.
Conduct thorough equipment inspections to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.
