About the job

Requirements
  • A minimum of five years of experience in data engineering or analytics engineering, including responsibility for production pipelines when they fail.
  • Deep proficiency in SQL and Python, and production experience with dbt in a layered warehouse with raw, staged, and curated models, declared grain, tests, and incremental builds.
  • Hands-on experience ingesting third-party and application data through managed connectors, event pipelines, and change-data-capture, including handling schema drift, resyncs, duplicates, and late or missing records.
  • Experience sending data out through reverse ETL, audiences, or conversion feeds, and owning its correctness after it leaves the warehouse.
  • Practical data quality experience, including reconciliation against systems of record, freshness and volume monitoring, and preventing recurring incidents.
  • Practical data governance experience, including role-based access, PII masking, retention, and an audit trail suitable for a regulator.
  • Familiarity with fintech or brokerage data, including account opening and KYC, funding and transfers, trades and settlement, and distinctions between similar balance or status fields.
  • Ability to operate independently without a large team to escalate into.
Responsibilities
  • Own data integrity in both directions by verifying feeds arrive completely and on time and outbound syncs deliver the correct data.
  • Own warehouse layers in dbt, from raw landing through staged and identity-resolved models to curated models for analysts, data scientists, dashboards, and internal AI agents; ensure each model has a declared grain and tests.
  • Establish data contracts with product engineering and platform owners, defining contracts that catch upstream changes at the boundary.
  • Own data governance, including role-based access, PII masking, retention, auditability, and self-serve tools that respect permissions.
  • Choose between batch, change-data-capture, and streaming based on consumer needs.
  • Partner with Marketing, Product, and Operations to capture needed business events and fields.
  • Own growth data by bringing in spend, clicks, and conversions across paid, affiliate, and organic channels, reconciling them against internal records, and sending funded-account outcomes back to ad platforms.
  • Own lifecycle and user-journey data by resolving customer identity from anonymous visit through sign-up, KYC, funding, and first trade, and keeping lifecycle messaging, CRM, and support systems aligned with events.
  • Model brokerage data for account opening, KYC, funding and transfers, and trading with the precision required by a regulated broker-dealer.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with identity resolution across web, app, and account data, including anonymous visitors, multiple devices, and multiple accounts per person.
  • Experience with marketing data, including ad-platform APIs, conversion APIs, click IDs, and attribution.
  • Experience with lifecycle and CRM tooling where the pipeline ends in a campaign rather than a table.
  • Experience with semantic layers for business intelligence tools and AI agents.
  • Experience with workflow orchestration such as Argo Workflows or Airflow, and enough Kubernetes to debug one's own jobs.
  • Experience with data retention and audit requirements in a regulated environment, including SEC and FINRA.
  • Experience as an early data engineering hire on a team that scaled.

Clear Street appoints Nash as chief business officer.

Clear Street appoints Nash as chief business officer. 14 September 2026 US Reporter: Zarah Choudhary Clear Street, a cloud-native financial infrastructure technology firm, has appointed Stephen Nash as chief business officer of Global Partnerships. In this role, Nash will lead commercial strategy for the firm's work with foreign financial institutions, banks, and fintechs that use the company's infrastructure to offer their own clients access to US markets. Nash previously spent nearly nine years at DriveWealth as chief commercial officer, leading global commercial strategy for the brokerage-infrastructure platform that lets banks, fintechs, and financial institutions offer investing to their customers. He built and led partnerships with a wide range of sophisticated brokers and digital disrupters across the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Australia. Uri Cohen, CEO and co-founder of Clear Street, says: "Our global build continues at a rapid pace, and global partnerships are the natural next step, extending our platform to the institutions serving millions of investors around the world. An opportunity of that scale demands leadership that has lived on both sides of the business, and Stephen brings it." Nash adds: "I've spent my career around the evolving complexity of cross-border capital markets, first as a banker bringing foreign issuers into the US, then helping institutions bring their own customers in. "Clear Street's infrastructure was built and proven for the most demanding institutional clients in the market, and extending that same standard to banks, brokers, and fintechs around the world is the opportunity I came here to deliver."
