Requirements
  • An Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 4 years of progressive human resources experience is required.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills are required.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment is required.
Responsibilities
  • Lead hourly and temporary recruitment efforts, including sourcing, interviewing, selection, onboarding, and orientation.
  • Partner with leaders to support workforce planning and staffing strategies.
  • Maintain accurate recruiting and employment documentation.
  • Serve as a resource for employees and supervisors on workplace concerns and employee relations matters.
  • Assist with investigations and provide guidance on company policies and procedures.
  • Administer payroll-related activities, including attendance, vacation tracking, and wage changes.
  • Support employees through benefit enrollment and changes by answering questions and providing education on available programs.
  • Promote health, wellness, and employee assistance programs.
  • Coordinate and administer the hourly performance review process.
  • Support employee development initiatives and recognition programs.
  • Lead employee involvement initiatives and engagement programs.
  • Coordinate volunteer opportunities, employee events, and activities that foster workplace culture.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, provincial, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Support adherence to company ethics, policies, and procedures.
  • Serve as a backup to the Human Resources Manager as needed.
  • Participate in special projects and other duties that contribute to organizational success.
Desired Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field is preferred.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification is preferred.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Experience in a union environment, where applicable, is preferred.
  • Experience supporting employee relations, recruiting, and HR compliance initiatives is preferred.
