Payroll Tax Amendment Manager

Please Note: This is a Utah-based hybrid position which will require some regular in-office days each week. Additionally, employment with BambooHR is contingent on passing both a background and credit check. 

Essential Job Duties

Specifically, you will:

• Be the captain of your team’s performance ship, steering them toward their goals and making sure they hit those sweet KPIs.
• Communicate team goals with flair, tying them back to BambooHR’s mission to set people free to do great work—because everything we do should make an impact!
• Keep a close eye on the numbers by generating and reviewing KPI reports, always looking for ways to improve and celebrate those wins.
• Regularly share the team’s victories and challenges with leadership—no win is too small to celebrate!
• Be open to shaking things up to increase efficiency and improve the customer journey. If there’s a better way to do something, you’ll find it.
• Lead team meetings and one-on-ones that are more motivating than your morning coffee, keeping the team inspired and on track.
• Build strong relationships with your team, providing coaching and course corrections that help them grow.
• Have those tough but necessary conversations to help your team members reach their full potential.
• Stick to BambooHR’s HR policies while bringing your own flair to hiring, performance management, and everything in between.
• Collaborate across departments to improve processes, projects, and overall customer experiences.
• Resolve and prevent client escalations—making sure every client feels like they’re our only client.
• Model BambooHR’s values like the superstar you are.
• Ensure your team’s training is top-notch and communication is crystal clear.
• Audit team processes to ensure accuracy and keep things running like a well-oiled machine.

What You Need to Get the Job Done:

• 3-5 years of experience managing teams and processing payroll tax filings/amendments.
• A deep understanding of tax agency and filing requirements.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills—because people should love working with you.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail—you can spot a typo from a mile away.
• The ability to stay cool under pressure in a high-paced environment.
