Requirements
- Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
- Project management experience in construction or manufacturing.
- Knowledge of the steel construction industry, American Institute of Steel Construction standards, and American Welding Society codes.
- Ability to read and understand construction blueprints.
- Ability to withstand pressure and adapt to change.
- Ability to be proactive and anticipate needs before they arise.
Responsibilities
- Manage client relationships and develop and maintain high-level customer service with internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage all activities associated with project implementation, from development and review of estimates through project completion and closeout.
- Oversee dealings with clients, engineers, architects, detailers, and construction teams to identify potential issues and develop resolutions.
- Review plans and proposals to determine proper procedures for accomplishing department and company goals.
- Ensure that all project details are documented.
- Monitor project costs and meet with project executives, senior project managers, and chief financial officers regarding project budgets.
- Ensure that all contract terms and obligations are adequately maintained.
- Comply with American Institute of Steel Construction policies and procedures and Occupational Safety and Health Administration safety standards.
- Visit job sites as required.
- Ensure proper accounting for project change orders, including estimating budgets for change orders.
Desired Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university is preferred.
