- Working knowledge of food handling, food sanitation, and safety.
- One to three years of previous cooking experience is preferred, not required.
- Ability to use kitchen equipment and report deficiencies, including knife handling skills and cooking techniques such as braising, sautéing, searing, and grilling.
- Ability to convert recipes and measure ingredients properly.
- ServeSafe and allergen certifications are preferred, not required.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- Culinary education in progress or completed is preferred, not required.
- Create a consistent quality product and culinary experience while providing exceptional customer service, presentation, and a clean, safe eating environment.
- Ensure food product quality, taste, appearance, and adequate portions.
- Read and follow company recipes.
- Keep the work area clean, well-organized, and sanitary.
- Follow daily menus and prep lists.
- Work independently at the assigned station.
- Anticipate customer needs, build rapport with repeat customers, and provide a positive experience through engagement and presentation.
- Suggestively sell add-ons to orders.
- Take direction, adapt to changes, and assist where needed.
- Complete additional projects and assignments as needed.
