Requirements
  • A bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least five years of experience in the commercial construction industry, overseeing all aspects of ground-up projects in the healthcare sector.
  • Ability to manage more than two projects at one time and balance workload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project reporting software, Microsoft Office, and blueprint reading.
  • Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
  • A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to various job sites.
  • Ability to supervise and lead the team and schedule and supervise the multi-tasking work of a multi-member team.
  • Proven knowledge in commercial building and construction and related sectors.
  • Ability to communicate with team members, project management, customers, project owners, and tradespeople.
  • Computer literacy and basic knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • Three to five years minimum of project management experience.
  • Basic understanding of the construction process, including materials, equipment, and techniques.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects or activities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
  • Ability to perform the physical demands of the role, including sitting, talking, hearing, repetitive hand motions, handling or feeling, standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting up to 20 pounds, and climbing stairs.
Responsibilities
  • Manage the project budget, write contracts, approve invoices, and update the project schedule.
  • Coordinate among subcontractors and help resolve job issues or conflicts.
  • Organize, process, and distribute pertinent project documents.
  • Create the project schedule.
  • Expedite documents and material or equipment deliveries to meet the project schedule.
  • Maintain cost-control data and prepare cost reports.
  • Maintain mutually satisfying long-term relationships with customers, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and employees.
  • Develop short-interval schedules for weekly coordination meetings.
  • Conduct implementation and tracking of LEED requirements.
  • Administer document control for shop drawings, submittals, subcontracts and purchase orders, insurance certificates and bonds, requests for information, plans and specifications, warranties, as-builts and manuals, notices to owner and lien releases, construction bulletins, owner change-order requests, and back charges.
  • Review shop drawings and submittals to verify compliance with contract documents.
  • Complete subcontractor payment and vendor invoice processing.
  • Attend project-related meetings and assist with preparing and distributing meeting minutes and attendee rosters.
  • Write weekly reports using notes from the superintendent.
  • Manage project close-out procedures and activities.
  • Ensure safety rules and regulations are followed at the project site.
