About the job

Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, with 7+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong, current coding experience in modern languages such as Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, Go, C#, or similar, covering backend services and modern frontend development.
  • A proven track record delivering large-scale, complex system integrations and operational optimizations across multi-vendor environments.
  • Strong technical understanding of decoupled architectures, API-first methodologies, and cloud-native infrastructure.
  • Ability to design and build scalable applications and services using cloud-native concepts.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn unfamiliar enterprise platforms or technologies quickly and deliver a working integration.
  • Strong foundational understanding of solutions across cloud providers such as Azure, AWS, and GCP, and ability to collaborate with cloud engineering teams.
  • Experience building and maintaining platform-to-platform integrations.
  • Demonstrated ability to incorporate architectural and security best practices early in the development lifecycle.
  • A track record of leveraging technology in novel ways to create distinguished and impactful business solutions.
  • Ability to translate high-level direction into actionable, effective solutions through written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to learn continually and autonomously complete projects with little supervision.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident (Green Card holder).

  • Include a link with the application to something built, such as a public GitHub repository, open-source contribution, live demo, side project, or shipped product; if the work is proprietary, provide a short description of the work and the applicant's specific role.
Responsibilities
  • Design and prototype innovative full-stack solutions, including backend services, APIs, and frontend interfaces, translating high-level challenges into working proofs of value and guiding their maturation into production-ready solutions.
  • Write high-quality, maintainable code and contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle.
  • Communicate complex technical topics through demos, documentation, and technical discussions with existing and potential customers, virtually and in person.
  • Design decoupled, API-first environments using cloud-native services such as AWS, Azure, or GCP to connect headless backends with diverse frontend consumers.
  • Integrate and extend enterprise platforms such as ServiceNow, Salesforce, Databricks, and cloud ecosystems to deliver connected, intelligent services.
  • Build reference implementations, reusable accelerators, and automation patterns that scale innovation beyond individual projects.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to embed innovation practices, mentor engineers, and evangelize new capabilities across Kentro.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure and platform teams that own infrastructure as code, deployment pipelines, and observability tooling to ensure solutions fit the existing cloud and infrastructure landscape.
  • Apply architecture and security best practices from the outset.
  • Evaluate new software, platforms, and solutions.
  • Investigate complex issues, learn new technologies rapidly, and apply them to problems or opportunities.
  • Apply AI and machine-learning concepts, data-driven logic, and modern automation approaches, including large language model APIs, retrieval-augmented generation patterns, and AI-assisted development tooling, to enhance and optimize solutions.
  • Develop end-to-end prototype applications demonstrating emerging technology value in practical, mission-aligned ways.
  • Evaluate and recommend tools, frameworks, and platforms that improve developer productivity or support innovative solution patterns.
  • Create technical guidance, playbooks, and architectural patterns for developers and platform teams.
  • Use Infrastructure as Code concepts and tools, such as Terraform, Ansible, and Azure Resource Manager, to keep prototypes reproducible and collaborate with platform engineers.
  • Work within architecture frameworks such as TOGAF and DODAF to plan, document, or model enterprise-level systems.
  • Design, operate (CRUD), and optimize databases across multiple database types.
  • Evaluate, champion, and define adoption strategies for emerging technologies aligned with enterprise architecture, security, and compliance frameworks.
