  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited university is preferred.
  • One to two years of coaching experience at the high school or collegiate level is preferred.
  • Current CPR certification through the American Red Cross.
  • A valid driver's license that can be maintained throughout employment, with the ability to drive student athletes to off-campus trainings and games.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize.
  • Experience working and communicating with diverse groups of people.
  • The ability to act professionally and keep students' records confidential.
  • The ability to make decisions and handle conflicts.
  • Problem-solving skills and creativity.
  • The ability to lift and move objects as specified by the physical requirements, assist athletes of various weights and heights, stand for long periods, walk long distances, carry training kits and coolers, bend at the hips and knees, and work in noisy and crowded environments.
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and supervise the Junior Varsity Baseball program under the leadership of the Head Junior Varsity Baseball Coach.
  • Ensure that Branson and league policies, rules, and regulations regarding athletic activities and athletes are followed.
  • Work with the Athletic Department to plan and organize practice and game schedules.
  • Maintain a safe environment for student athletes at all times.
  • Develop an appropriate training program and practice schedules.
  • Communicate regularly with team parents regarding overall team operations.
  • Supervise student athletes at home and away games and ensure appropriate behavior.
  • Ensure that student athletes adhere to training rules, class and grade requirements, and behavioral rules on the field, during conditioning, and in the locker room.
  • Interact thoughtfully and courteously with students, staff, parents, and officials, and resolve conflicts professionally.
  • Represent Branson professionally in all interactions with the broader community.
  • Along with the Head Coach, ensure the proper cleaning, storage, and maintenance of athletic equipment and uniforms.
  • Recommend purchases of uniforms, equipment, and supplies, and manage inventory.
  • Maintain necessary records and complete the Paycom timecard within the specified timeframes and manner.
  • Maintain required certifications and training hours.
  • Attend work regularly and be punctual to all practices and games.
  • Obtain advance approval from the Athletic Director for all team-related expenditures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
