About the job
- A Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering is required.
- A Florida Professional Engineer license is required.
- Eight to twelve years of conceptual, preliminary, and final design and plan production experience are required.
- Familiarity with Florida Department of Transportation details and production is required.
- Prior management of a group or department is required.
- Assume leadership and responsibility for managing design projects and coordinating among various project design disciplines.
- Assume leadership and responsibility for all facets of office operations and facilities, including reviewing staffing levels and monitoring staff tools and resources.
- Maintain utilization of office personnel and balance project demands with opportunities for professional development.
- Supervise and mentor junior-level design staff.
- Perform project management duties.
- Assist the Regional Manager in growing the practice by growing the office backlog, expanding the client base, increasing local service offerings, and entering new markets as applicable.
- Lead the preparation of proposals and presentations with marketing support.
- Maintain client satisfaction and relationships.
- Participate actively in local professional affiliations and encourage team members to participate.
- A Master of Science in Civil Engineering is preferred.
