  • At least 5 years of business-to-business sales experience specifically within the North American home appliance or heating, ventilation, and air conditioning component industry.
  • Deep familiarity with the North American supply chain ecosystem and major home appliance original equipment manufacturers, including Whirlpool, GEA, Electrolux, Samsung, LG, Miele, and Hisense.
  • Strong technical aptitude and the ability to discuss component applications comfortably with engineering leads.
  • Ability to build high-level trust with local procurement and engineering heads and navigate North American business etiquette.
  • Ability to navigate and close the 18–24 month sales cycles typical of the appliance industry.
  • Willingness to travel 30–50% within North America for site visits and industry trade shows.
Responsibilities
  • Lead strategic market penetration for home appliance and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning components across North America, focusing on Tier 1 original equipment manufacturers and key regional distributors.
  • Drive the full New Product Introduction cycle from initial sampling and certifications, including Underwriters Laboratories and Energy Star, through mass production.
  • Identify customer pain points in new model development and propose solutions and cost-optimization strategies aligned with North American regulatory standards and original equipment manufacturer expectations.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the customer and the factory.
  • Manage order forecasting, quality resolution, including return merchandise authorization and failure analysis, and payment collections to ensure a healthy, long-term partnership.
  • Track competitor pricing, local policy shifts, and technology trends to refine North American go-to-market strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal research and development and logistics teams to ensure the global supply chain meets the delivery demands of North American manufacturing.
  • Proactively identify new market opportunities within established original equipment manufacturer departments.
  • Manage accounts and develop strategic business opportunities in the North American home appliance and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning component sectors.
Desired Qualifications
  • Prior experience working for or selling against major component manufacturers such as Nidec, Robertshaw, or Copreci.
  • A technical background in mechanical engineering or electrical engineering.
  • Experience with major North American home appliance original equipment manufacturers.
