Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field with two or more years of work experience, or a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience with Finite Element Analysis and Computational Fluid Dynamics.
  • Proficiency with ASME Y14.5 Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, ASME Y14.100 Engineering Drawing Practices, and Design for Manufacturing.
  • Well-rounded knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced engineering environment.
  • Knowledge of military standards MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-704, and MIL-STD-810.
  • Ability to travel less than 25%.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct structural analysis using ANSYS to evaluate strength and performance.
  • Perform thermal analysis using ANSYS ICEPAK to evaluate heat transfer and thermal management.
  • Generate design reports and analysis results documentation.
  • Collaborate with Systems and Electrical Engineering organizations to address environmental and EMI/EMC performance requirements.
  • Work directly with Government engineers to identify and validate structural and thermal requirements.
  • Design mechanical components and produce assembly and manufacturing drawings aligned with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, Design for Manufacturing, and ASME standards.
  • Support the design, build, and installation of mechanical components.
Desired Qualifications
  • Previous experience with military electromechanical design and aircraft mechanical hardware integration is preferred.
  • Proficiency with PTC CREO or equivalent 3D Computer-Aided Design software is preferred.

SPX Technologies has completed its acquisition of Kranze Technology Solutions (KTS), enhancing its Communication Technologies platform. SPX Technologies (NYSE:SPXC) has agreed to acquire Kranze Technology Solutions (KTS) for approximately $350 million in cash. KTS, based in Illinois, specializes in digital interoperability and tactical networking, with strong ties to the US Marine Corps.
