Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Accounting, a technical certification, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Strong hands-on automated testing skills, including building and maintaining test cases with tools such as Selenium.
  • Technical proficiency in Java or .NET, relational databases, and API or web-service testing.
  • Experience implementing test scripts within a CI/CD pipeline and using test management tools such as qTest or Jira.
  • Ability to solve ambiguous quality problems with limited guidance rather than requiring a fully defined test plan.
  • Ability and willingness to learn modern tools such as Playwright, K6, and data simulation, along with emerging tools such as MCPs or testing agents.
  • Sufficient finance and accounting domain interest to develop deep expertise in the PowerPlan product.
Responsibilities
  • Learn the current test environments and release process and progress toward independent release sign-off for at least part of the product by the end of the first quarter.
  • Expand the automation framework with new functions and reusable components by building automated test cases in tools such as Selenium, and deliver at least one new function or component within the first quarter.
  • Develop Playwright and K6 usage, build data simulation for test data, and evaluate how MCPs or testing agents could further advance the framework.
  • Create a repeatable readiness check for test-data, environment, and configuration needs, and identify and drive resolution of cross-team roadblocks before they threaten a release.
  • Build and maintain automated tests across the full stack, including Java or .NET, databases, and API or web-service layers.
  • Develop knowledge of PowerPlan's asset accounting and tax domain so testing identifies business-logic problems as well as technical defects.
Desired Qualifications
  • ISTQB or similar certification.
  • Exposure to ERP, EAM, CRM, or Maximo systems.
