Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field is required.
  • Experience with monitoring, control systems, or real-time data platforms is required.
  • Proven experience as a Solution Architect, Systems Architect, or similar role is required.
  • Knowledge of mission-critical environments using programmable logic controllers and supervisory control and data acquisition is required.
  • Travel of 30–50% is required.
  • Work is typically scheduled Monday through Friday between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., but may occur at any time to meet business needs.
  • A strong understanding of data center infrastructure, networking, and distributed systems is required.
  • The ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders is required.
  • Knowledge of systems integration across business management systems and electrical power management systems, including electrical and mechanical systems, is required.
  • Knowledge of high-availability and resilience design is required.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills are required.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills are required.
Responsibilities
  • Design end-to-end solution architectures for mission-critical control systems, including data gathering, processing, visualization, and business management system/electrical power management system control platforms.
  • Define architecture standards, reference designs, and best practices for mission-critical data center solutions.
  • Ensure solutions meet requirements for availability, resilience, latency, and scalability.
  • Integrate infrastructure, applications, operational technology systems, and monitoring tools into a unified mission-control environment.
  • Collaborate with clients, customers, consulting engineers, and vendors to ensure seamless interoperability.
  • Oversee integration of vendor platforms and provide guidance in developing mission-critical solutions.
  • Work with business leaders, operations teams, and engineers to translate operational needs into technical solutions.
  • Lead design reviews and architecture discussions to create client functional design specifications.
  • Provide technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Embed monitoring, alerting, and incident-response capabilities into solutions.
  • Support implementation teams during deployment, testing, and go-live phases.
  • Validate that delivered solutions align with approved architecture designs.
  • Troubleshoot complex system and integration issues.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies relevant to mission control and data center operations.
  • Recommend improvements to performance, automation, observability, and cost efficiency.
  • Contribute to long-term technology roadmaps.
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Rockwell and Ignition software.
  • Knowledge of electrical power management system software.
  • Architecture or cloud certifications are a plus.
